So, how do
you restore balance?
First you will need to eliminate sugar from your diet. Remember, Fibromyalgia Candida yeast feeds
on sugar. So, eliminating sugar eliminates its food source, and that means both refined and simple sugars.
You
will also want to cut out vinegars, alcohol, soy and soy products. These are foods that were made by yeast
fermentation.
This is your starting point. Don't cheat here, as it will just be self defeating.
Secondly, adding one or more of
the following into your daily treatment protocol to assist in killing the Candida yeast. There are no side
effects associated with these products if used properly.
* Homeopathic remedies (talk with your homeopathic doctor to find the
best one for you)
* Colloidal
silver
* Garlic
* Grapefruit seed extract
* Glyconutrients
Finally, you will want to replace the friendly
flora in your intestines with quality acidophilus and bifidobacteria.
You can find these bacteria cultures in some yogurts.
Read the label. If you decide to eat yogurt to replace the bacteria, you will want to eat "unsweetened"
yogurt. Otherwise, you are continuing a vicious cycle.
If you have a dairy intolerance, then a better option
would be to buy quality acidophilus and bifidobacteria. You will find this in the refrigerated section
of your healthfood store. It must be kept refrigerated. Check the label to identify
how much bacteria the product contains.
How long does this take to correct this condition and are there any side effects?
The overgrowth of candida yeast can take weeks to months
to overcome. It will require comittment on your part, through dietary adjustments and by resupplementing
good flora.
During the die-off
of the yeast you may or may not experience some side effects called "yeast die-off" reactions. These
die off reactions can be unsettling and discouraging.
Common yeast die-off symptoms may include:

* Sore throat
* Nausea

-Get sufficient sleep to counteract the fatigue you may be experiencing.
- Increase the amount of water you are drinking. Drink 4-6 ounces of
hot / warm water every hour to help flush the system.
- Frequent and complete bowel movements are necessary to eliminate toxins in your systems.
- Increasing consumption of lightly steamed
vegetables will increase dietary fiber.
- If your bowels are not moving more that once a day, you will need to encourage more frequent elimination.
A glass of hot / warm water in the morning with, or without, epsom salt may be helpful.
- If necessary you can use an herbal laxative, to help
facilitate the movement of the bowels.
- Spend 20 minutes in a sauna. While in the sauna take a stiff body brush and scrub your skin.
