If you identify something that you did that decreased a symptom, then you will want to consider adding that behavior to your daily routine, for example use
aroma therapy or essential oil
more often.
Maybe you have found that tai chi or meditation techniques reduce your depression or increase your energy. That would be a treatment approach that you would want to continue.
Or maybe you find that
walking
one mile a day increases your pain level, but walking 1/2 mile a day does not. You may want to limit the walking to 1/2 mile for a week and then try to increase it a little and see what happens. If it again, increases the pain level, then go back to 1/2 mile again.
